This futuristic all-glass train has been designed as a superyacht on rails.
Officially known as the ‘G-Train’, it is the brainchild of yacht designer Thierry Gaugain.
He designed it to be built and sold to billionaires to be used privately like a boat or private jet.

The futuristic train is made up of 14 cars that are made entirely out of glass.
The special glass provides a mirror-like effect on the outside but it’s completely transparent on the inside.
This means passengers will be able to admire an unobstructed view of the surroundings while having total privacy.

Each car features a fold-down terrace, meaning you can stop anywhere you like and have dinner with a view.
Thierry Gaugain left nothing to chance as every car was designed with a specific purpose.

The owner’s suite is located at the front and occupies the entire length of the first car.
In addition to that, there are guest rooms for 18 people, a fully equpped gym, a SPA and a dining car.
Other cars will accommodate all sorts of amenities, from a live theater to art shows and dancefloors.
Last but not least, there’s something called the ‘Toy Chest’, which is simply a car that doubles as a garage for the owner’s supercars.

For now, the G-Train is just a 1,300-foot prototype with an estimate construction cost of around $350 million.
This begs the question; will it actually ever be built?
It would be easy enough to find investors and buyers, but it would be logistically tricky to use it.
One thing is for sure: it’s one of the most interesting and unique designs we’ve seen this year.
