A British couple marked their 70th wedding anniversary by treating themselves to a Porsche 911 GT3.
Traditionally, the gift for a 70th anniversary is platinum, but the Evans’ decided to do one better.
They headed out to Porsche Bournemouth and snapped up a brand new green 911 GT3.
And we can’t help but be seriously impressed by their choice.

The Porsche 911 is a cultural icon.
Introduced back in 1964, the car has amassed an army of admirers all over the world.
In 1991, carmaker decided to launch a high-performance version, known as the 911 GT3.
The latest version, the 992 GT3, was unveiled in 2021 and it’s an absolute beast.
Its 4.0 liter flat six engine can produce up to 503 horsepower and can hit 0-62mph in just 3.4 seconds.
With those sorts of specs, you might not think that the 992 GT3 would be the sort of a car a couple of 92-year-olds would pick out.
But in the case of Mr and Mrs Evans, you’d be very wrong.
Celebrating an incredible 70 years of marriage, the happy couple decided to treat themselves to their very first Porsche.
The couple posed for a snap standing next to their new car at a Porsche dealership in Bournemouth, England, and it’s safe to say they look delighted.
“Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Evans who recently celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary.
“Proving it’s never too late for new adventures, picking up their first Porsche and just 92 years young – who says love slows down,” the dealership wrote in a post on Instagram.
Certainly these two.
People have been left impressed by their choice
As you might imagine, the couple have attracted plenty of attention online with people impressed by their choice of vehicle.
“Ninety-two years young and still shifting up a gear. Literally the best post on Instagram this year,” one person said.
“Love this! Never give up on your dreams – congratulations Mr & Mrs Evans,” a second wrote.
“This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen” another commenter.
