Talented elderly US man lives in his 2003 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter T1N van and he's decked out the interior with genius designs

This talented US man has been living in his 2003 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van for a long time, and it’s easy to see why when you look at it.

The 82-year-old completely transformed a 2003 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter T1N into an amazing living space.

From the outside, the campervan still looks normal – like any other van.

But the interior is a showcase of both style and genius.

This man has been living the van life for a long time, and his Mercedes-Benz van proves it

Appearing on the CheapRVliving YouTube channel, Tom has been living in his van for a few years, and we can see why because the van certainly looks comfortable and cozy.

Tom started by removing the wall between the driver’s cabin and the living space and fitting some swiveling bases to the driver and passenger seats, which allows him to spin them around into the living area where there’s a rotating table.

Then he added a long couch in the main living area, which serves three functions.

One, it’s a couch; two, it can easily be converted into a bed thanks to some jack knife bed brackets; and three, it houses some cleverly concealed storage space underneath.

He somehow managed to fit a shower as well

On the opposite side, there’s an L-shaped counter that has a cabinet housing a custom-made composting toilet inside.

He also fitted a single-burner induction stove and even a sink.

His ‘kitchen’ also includes a multi-cooker and a fridge.

Incredibly, the campervan even has its own indoor shower that Tom made himself out of a folding dog bath, pump, and shower head.

The icing on the cake is the storage space at the back, where Tom can store various tools, cords, and even a ladder.

Some people just don’t like houses

There are lots of reasons why people live on the road, but, clearly, some people simply prefer living options that aren’t homes in the conventional sense.

couple from the US traveled the world in their RV, and another couple turned an old school bus into an off-grid home.

Then there are people who live on cruise ships, and possibly the most incredible off-grid example of them all: Camperghini.

Years ago, this US guy sold everything to buy a Lamborghini Urus, which is now his home.

He’s been touring the world with it since.
