Utah recovery man is called to a GMC stuck in sand but can't understand how it happened

This Utah recovery man was called to a GMC that somehow got stuck in sand, but he seemingly had no idea how it managed to happen.

When they finally located the vehicle, they realized it would take a lot more work than they thought to get it out of the sand without jack-knifing the trailer.

In the extraction process, they faced massive issues when it came to getting it out because of the trailer and emergency brakes being engaged.

They made a silly mistake by leaving something under a truck which could have ruined everything.

How to rescue a GMC stuck in sand

This YouTuber is well-known for his daring car recoveries in the mountains of Utah, even rescuing a Tesla from the snow, but this GMC complete with a trailer which was stuck deep in some sand proved to be trickier than his team anticipated.

The rescue by the Matt’s Off Road Recovery was potentially tricky because of the trailer attached to the vehicle and if they pulled too hard, they could potentially cause a jack-knifing effect.

They had to move the GMC and trailer incredibly carefully, but it was slow-going and the vehicle seemed well and truly stuck.

What issues did they face?

Very quickly issues arise with the emergency brake being locked, it made it a lot more difficult to tow and more prone to breaking.

As well as the emergency brakes being locked, the trailer brakes were engaged, making it difficult to tow; after fixing this, they successfully pull the rig out.

The plan changes due to a clearer exit path, and they navigate around obstacles to free the vehicle, narrowly avoiding disaster because someone had left a toolbox under the rig which had the potential of ruining the wheels and being crushed.

They managed to successfully rescue the rig and were called out to another vehicle, a Can-Am which they also managed to successfully rescue.
