This woman from Utah was praised for the amount of money and time she saved by changing the oil in her husband’s Porsche 911.
A lot of drivers assume that changing the oil has to be an expensive and time-consuming ordeal, when actually, this woman proved that you can do it yourself.
The internet is currently debating quite how much money the woman has saved, but estimates prove quite significant.
It shows that sometimes, with a couple of cheap parts and a bit of elbow grease, you can save yourself both time and money – all while gaining bragging rights.

How much she saved by changing the oil herself
Unless you’re a very highly paid specialist, there are some things that supercar owners don’t even attempt to DIY because they don’t want to risk their precious cars.
Even for something as apparently simple as an oil change, a lot of Porsche owners would fear trying to do it themselves in case they messed up. Understandably.
But Whitney from Whitney’s Garage on TikTok showed that it’s nothing to be scared of.

Her husband’s Porsche 911 has never driven better
The Utah content creator’s video quickly went viral, with gearheads from all over the world being impressed by how easily she sorted the oil change.
One comment on Reddit said he ‘took my Cayman to the dealer for 40k service and they wanted 2k$ for an oil change spark plugs and an air filter’ showing how much she potentially saved.
“[A] dealer would charge at least $400, an indie shop maybe $250. She paid for the oil and filter, which is what, $80?” another wrote.
If anything, Whitney’s video shows how financially beneficial it can be to work on your own vehicles… but only if you have experience.
