Aston Martin launched the Valhalla hypercar, DB12 Volante, and a V12 supercar in a major triple debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Each model introduced a different take on performance, from hybrid hypercar engineering to open-top GT luxury and classic twelve-cylinder power.

The event marked a significant moment for the brand as it continues to balance innovation with heritage.

Here’s how each of the three new models played a role in that showcase.

Aston Martin Valhalla hypercar completes UK debut run

The Valhalla hypercar made its long-anticipated dynamic debut in the UK at Goodwood.

First revealed as a prototype in 2019, the final version uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 paired with three electric motors to produce 1,079PS and over 1,000Nm of torque.

The car reaches 62mph in under 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 217mph.

Built on a carbon monocoque chassis, the Valhalla features active aerodynamic components that can deliver more than 600kg of downforce at speed.

It uses a bespoke dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel-drive system developed for high-speed balance and cornering accuracy.

The hybrid layout was designed in collaboration with the brand’s Formula 1 engineering team.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed served as the first opportunity for the public to see the production-ready model running at full pace.

Compared to earlier versions, the final car is visibly more refined, with production confirmed and customer deliveries expected within the next year. Only 999 examples will be built.

DB12 Volante and V12 supercar join the lineup

The DB12 Volante also appeared in motion for the first time, showcasing its performance as the convertible variant of the brand’s new grand tourer.

It is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 making 680PS and 800Nm of torque, with a 0 to 62mph time of 3.7 seconds.

The folding roof has been reworked for faster operation, and the car receives additional structural reinforcement for handling precision.

Sharing the spotlight was a new V12 supercar, revealed as the open-top version of the recently revived Vanquish.

It is powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 generating 835PS and 1,000Nm.

The chassis has been updated with modern suspension geometry and aerodynamic elements to support its performance at speed.

This marks the return of a traditional twelve-cylinder flagship to the lineup.

All three models were presented together at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, highlighting the brand’s evolving performance roadmap.

The Valhalla hypercar points toward a future shaped by hybrid power and technical complexity.

The DB12 Volante delivers a next-generation interpretation of grand touring, while the new V12 supercar reinforces the appeal of large-displacement engines in a changing market.

The trio reflects a brand working to align future technology with long-standing identity, all within one of the industry’s most high-profile events.
