This recovery team was called out to rescue a Suzuki Samurai that got itself stuck in deep snow in Utah.
Launched back in the 1970s, the Suzuki Samurai – also known as the Suzuki Jimny – is a mini off-road SUV.
The Samarai was originally designed to belong to the Japanese ‘kei class’, which are lighter and smaller than other road-legal vehicles.
Since launching in the 1970s, Suzuki has sold more than 2.8 million Samurai across the world, but unfortunately, not all are equipped for treacherous weather conditions.

The Suzuki Samurai was not moving without a fight
Fortunately, the team from Matt’s Off Road Recovery has got plenty of experience when it comes to stuck vehicles.
The guys have previously rescued this inexperienced Mercedes Sprinter owner, as well as this Ford truck that was deemed a lost cause by many other recovery teams.
So, when the owner of this Suzuki Samurai found himself completely stuck in the snow, he did the sensible thing and called Matt – who runs the Matt’s Off Road Recovery YouTube channell.

They arrived at the scene to discover the Samurai’s wheels buried deep in the snow with the tires completely unable to gain any traction.
Thankfully, it wasn’t Matt and the team’s first rodeo and they were able to hook the Samurai up to their rescue truck and haul it out of the snow.
But that wasn’t the end of the little Suzuki’s troubles.
It got stuck in the Utah snow for a second time
While they may have made it look like easy work, Matt was quick to stress how difficult it can be to drive during those conditions.
“The climate that we’re in right now gets really cold at night and then really warm during the day, and that really messes the snow up,” he said.
“It makes it hard to drive through so even though the snow is only eight to 10 inches deep, it’s taking an enormous amount of power and technique to drive through it without it causing you a problem.”
And he wasn’t wrong – moments after he said that the driver of the Suzuki Samurai – who had driven off ahead at this point – once again became stuck in the snow and had to be rescued all over again.
This time they managed to get away from the snow-covered ground and back onto the open road.
Here’s hoping the rest of their journey went a little more smoothly.
