This North Carolina widow sold her husband’s original 1971 Plymouth after 36 years and now the classic car is begging to be loved.

The classic muscle car has been locked away and not seen the light of day for years on end.

But now, it’s looking for its forever home.

And, the best part? The car has no reserve.

Muscle cars are known to come in all different shapes and sizes.

From Ford to Pontiac, many brand have dipped their toes in producing them.

In fact, in 2024, a new limited-edition Shelby Cobra was released as a modern tribute to Carroll Shelby and classic muscle cars.

Plus, the type of auto is still very much alive in 2025 too, as Dodge recently launched the ‘world’s only four-door muscle car’, the Charger Daytona saloon.

But, as the cars stem from decades ago, some can be forgotten about and left for long periods of time, like this find.

This Original 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring was a loved driver way back in the 1980s, and now over 30 years later, it’s come out to play on eBay.

The listing on the resell site reads: “Up for auction is a 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring, original numbers matching V8 318 engine runs, automatic transmission engages.”

But, there is a slightly sad story behind the car, as the listing continues: “This vehicle sat in a garage from 1989 when the original owner passed away until just this year when it was purchased from the wife after all these years.”

Before putting the car up on the site for people to bid on, the seller intended to turn the 1971 Plymouth into a ‘GTX Tribute’, but due to other projects, this one has had to take a backseat.

“The sky is the limit with this 1971 Body as it can be a Road Runner or GTX Clone,” the seller continued.

But, arguably, the best part about the car is that it has no reserve.

Bidding has started, with $720 being the current leader, and the auction is ending in just nine days’ time.

The 1971 Plymouth has 70,600 miles on the clock and houses a V8 5.2L engine.

Take a look at the listing here.
