Most Powerful And Expensive Suvs Compared

An American woman on TikTok who was looking to sell her 2019 Chevy Equinox was told she would only get $250 for it.

However, after a change in tactics, she was able to land a $4,000 offer for the Chevrolet SUV.

TikTok star Kaytlyn Briegge had taken her Equinox to a local Chevy dealership to have it valued. Remarkably, the dealer only offered her $250 in trade-in value for the SUV.

However, after deciding to sell the car privately, Briegge extracted over $3,500 extra for the car and got a pretty penny when she sold it.

A private sale saw Briegge grab extra cash for her Chevy Equinox

The TikTokker posted a video on her account detailing her frustration but also explaining how she made the sale of her car a success.

She claimed that while clearly not worth thousands and thousands of dollars, it was also worth much more than $250.

The 2019 Equinox had minor hail damage and 135,000 miles on the odometer. But it was still fully functioning and in excellent condition overall.

After the Chevy dealer disappointed her, Briegge went to CarMax to try to get a fairer price for the SUV.

They were able to offer her $4,000 for the Equinox.

CarMax provided a more reasonable offer for Briegge

CarMax is one of the most well-known private dealerships in the United States.

It has over 240 physical locations in the USA. Their online services add another layer of convenience for customers and buyers.

After posting her new offer on TikTok, many users said she should take CarMax’s price and run with it. Some said she should sell the car outright to get more money.

Others even told her to go to other dealers and see if they would offer more than CarMax.

Briegge showed evidence of her adventure on her video, including a receipt for the total cost of the car, minus the $250 offer that the Chevy dealer had offered.

Her trade-in value receipt showed that the car was clearly worth over $45,000 when new.

So, it does make you wonder where the $250 trade-in figure came from.

It looks like Briegge made the right decision to try to sell the car somewhere else.
