When faced with a choice between keeping her Plymouth Superbird or selling it to fund her home, this woman made a choice that many might find surprising.
Despite the pressing need for money and the fact she never even drove it, she decided to keep the car.
In fact, it wasn’t even a difficult choice for this Plymouth owner.
And she had a very good reason for her decision.

Woman refuses to sell her Plymouth Superbird
The story was shared on YouTube by Mopars5150 in which the owner reveals the car was a cherished gift from her father when she was twelve years old.
Her father bought the car in 1987, when muscle cars like this used to rule the roads.
And what he paid for it pales in comparison to what it’s worth today.

He paid a sum of $9,000 at that time, which would be roughly $23,500 today.
The Plymouth Superbird is in itself a rare piece of history, but this particular model was even more special.
This specific car also had connections to the famous racing driver Richard Petty.
The car is linked to Richard Petty

Richard Petty – sometimes known as ‘The King of NASCAR’ – raced a Superbird during the 1970 season, but it’s not for certain whether this particular car was used by him.
However, despite the uncertainty, the connection to the famous driver makes the muscle car all the more precious.
The Plymouth Superbird was not just known for its beautiful looks; it was a powerful beast and was known as a key player in NASCAR during the early 1970s.

With a powerful 440 cubic-inch V8 engine, the car had a top speed of around 150mph, which is definitely impressive for a muscle car.
The owner said that having such a beautiful piece of history meant the world to her, and despite her financial needs, she vowed to hold on to it forever.
