A woman who drove an SUV for years was left delighted at the gas pump after seeing how cheap her 2024 Toyota Corolla is to top up in comparison.
In a clip shared to TikTok, the woman could be seen pulling into a gas station and filling up.
And after years of driving an SUV, she was left ‘shoookkk’ when seeing the price of filling the fuel tank.
In fact, the happy Corolla owner said it was ‘the most exciting thing’ about her new car – and when you see the comparison, you’ll probably agree.

Cost is an all-important factor when it comes to choosing a vehicle.
And for TikTok user @kieranxelaine1331, it was also the ‘most exciting’ thing about her 2024 Toyota Corolla.
In a video shared on the social media platform, she drove her 2024 Toyota Corolla to the gas station and couldn’t wait to reveal just how cheap it was.
“I wanna show you guys the most exciting part about the new car. Okay,” she said with a huge smile on her face.
“You ready? Just wait. Just wait.”
She then started pumping the gas and filmed the number slowly climbing up.
Until it abruptly clicked off at $22.61 for 10.28 gallons of fuel – around $2.20 per gallon.
“Are you freaking serious?” she asked.
“Twenty-two dollars, dude. That’s unreal, dude. That’s unreal.
“And that was from empty. Literally empty.”
The 2024 Toyota Corolla typically has a 13.2-gallon fuel tank in its gas models, like the one in the clip.
In a comment on her video, she explained that her old SUV had a 15-gallon tank and that it required ‘premium gas,’ meaning it’s a lot cheaper to top up her Corolla.
When asked how long it’d last her, she estimated around a week, and told another commenter that she was ‘in Heaven’ after making the switch.

Here’s how that figure compares to the cost of topping up an SUV
Although the tank in the Corolla is smaller and it doesn’t require premium fuel, the TikToker said that wasn’t the only way she was saving cash after switching from an SUV.
In a follow-up comment, she said the Corolla gets more miles per gallon (MPG) than her old car.
And although she didn’t reveal the make or model of the SUV, it’s safe to assume she’s correct.
The 2024 Toyota Corolla offers around 34MPG when combining both city and highway driving, which is impressive stuff.
Particularly when you compare it to an SUV like the 2025 Audi SQ7, which offers just 17MPG with combined driving, or the 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V, which has a combined MPG of just 13.
Using the TikToker’s local gas price of around $2.20 per gallon, if she forked out for 10 gallons of fuel for the Corolla, she could expect up to 340 miles for around $22.
But for the same 340 miles in the Audi, she’d need to pay twice as much at the pump: $44, and if she wanted to do 340 miles in the Cadillac, she’d need to part with around $57.50.
So, it’s not hard to see why the TikToker is so stoked with her purchase.
