Cheap Facebook Marketplace buys area all a bit hit and miss, but this young lad who bought the ‘world’s cheapest dragster’ for just $2k has hit the jackpot.

Usually, second-hand buys mean that you’re inheriting someone else’s problems.

After all, there is a reason they’re on the market and being sold off cheap.

But when you can find a hidden gem like this, it makes the hours of doomscrolling worthwhile.

We’ve seen a number of Facebook Marketplace buys go horribly wrong, with hidden catches buried deep beneath the surface of the cars.

However, YouTube personality ZoominAlways has managed to find one of the coolest and modest rides on Facebook Marketplace: a dragster kit on sale for just $2k.

Dubbed ‘the world’s cheapest dragster’, the strange car was ‘junior’ sized, but fit the small rider.

Having been left unused for years, he expected it to be quite a bust, but the only issues appeared to be surface level.

Only the tires showed real degradation, but they were easily replaced, and the engine was given a quick scrub-down to be firing on all cylinders again.

After some aesthetic touch-ups and a few wrenches of the engine, the cheapest dragster was given a test on the slippery grass surface.

And, well, it was a joy.

There were, of course, a few mishaps with the cheap build compared to the real deal, but aside from a handful of handling errors, it proved to be a great ride.

Not a bad $2k to spend at all, if that’s your vibe.

Dragsters can be quite a hilarious and thrilling ride, just as this 300MPH jet proves.

The cheapest dragster, now all polished up, won’t quite live up to those speeds, but there’s still plenty of power behind the wheel.

Some of the best dragsters have found stardom, too.

One 17-year project saw a Ferrari Enzo given a dragster overhaul, and the result was phenomenal.

Other designs include a Volkswagen Beetle with a flame-throwing engine based on the drag kits, and the 1,350HP beast certainly gave the bug car quite a ferocious bite.
