Is this the world’s fastest minivan? The Mercedes R63 AMG managed to tackle the Nürburgring fully loaded, and the results were impressive.

Initially, you may be skeptical, wondering just how well an 18-year-old car can zip around a race track, especially since it’s not actually a race car.

But, thanks to its engine and specs, it got the job done with ease.

The minivan-inspired car was seriously impressive.

Mercedes has created some powerful cars.

From the rarest Mercedes-Benz in the world, the 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé – only two were ever built – to the Limited-edition G-Class collaboration between Mercedes and Moncler, the fleet is varied.

However, one YouTuber decided to put an 18-year-old Mercedes R63 AMG to the ultimate test and fully send it around the prestigious Nürburgring.

If you’re a gearhead, you’ll be familiar with the iconic Nürburgring.

According to the race track itself, it is ‘one of the longest, most tradition-steeped, challenging and busiest race tracks in the world,’ and it’s clear to see why.

YouTuber Misha Charoudin decided to take the Mercedes minivan for a spin, and he wasn’t left disappointed.

“Both amateur and professional drivers from all racing series compete on two circuits: the Nordschleife, 20.832 km long and rich in tradition, and the modern 5.148 km Grand Prix Track,” The Nürburgring website continues.

So, what special specs did the modded Merc have?

Before showing the footage, the YouTuber ran through the details of the Mercedes car.

The 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8, ‘fantastic engine’, serviced AMG brakes, and all-season tires.

“As you can see, we melted them a bit on our lap, but it was definitely worth it,” the YouTuber quipped.

“That’s a fantastic car,” he continued.

And, the car was fully sent down the track by the YouTuber as passengers looked on with joy.

The happiness was clear to see on everyone’s face as the car whipped around the track, reaching high speeds.

“One of the rarest AMGs in the world and one of the most fun laps I think we’ve ever had,” he concluded.

The Mercedes R63 AMG car resembles a minivan, and auto fans have mixed views on the car, with some loving it, but others not appearing to be so fond of the German auto technology.
