World’s first AI robot car from China: Geely Ji Yue 01

When we got our hands on the Geely Ji Yue 01, Sergi got to test out a lot of its hidden features.

One of these was the voice command feature, which was one of the best parts about the AI robot car.

You can also use the voice commands outside the car and ask it to open the doors.

Due to its price range ($44k-$50k) and autonomous driving capabilities, it’s going to be a big rival for the Tesla Model Y.

The Tesla Model Y is the best EV under $50,000, but according to Rivian CEO, many Chinese EV cars are now bridging that gap.

Geely also owns Volvo, Polestar, and Lotus.

Tesla killers

The company has already launched an EV truck called Radar RD6 to rival Tesla’s Cybertruck.

While the Ji Yue 01 uses the same Geely SEA (sustainable experience architecture) platform used by the Zeekr 001 and Polestar 4

The car also features more than 500 voice commands letting you control hundreds of options hands-free.

It comes in two different variants with the max performance variant being about to go 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.9 seconds.

As for the autopilot, it uses the onboard camera system to navigate the streets, just like Tesla’s vision-based system.

The EV car also has a radar system as a backup.
