The world’s weirdest police car could be this huge tractor that was used across the pond in the UK.

We’re often used to seeing police vehicles consisting of motorbikes, standard cars, and vans, but this could be a first.

The huge John Deere tractor was used to spread awareness in rural areas of Devon and Cornwall.

And, you won’t believe the sheer size and bright appearance of the agricultural vehicle.

When it comes to fighting crime, many different vehicles are adopted by law enforcement to fit the place they’re patrolling.

However, forget the standard five-door sedan with sirens. One police force in the UK has taken things to a whole new level.

Across the pond in the South-West of England, a huge tractor was used by Devon and Cornwall Police, and it just might be the world’s weirdest police car.

The tractor was loaned to the department by agricultural machinery supplier Masons Kings, and its purpose was to raise awareness of the support that the force can give to residents in rural areas.

These included livestock theft and worrying, alongside agricultural plant and GPS theft.

The temporary introduction of the huge tractor was part of a movement of community messaging in the area.

“This vehicle […] will be seen at various shows across the region, sparking conversations with farmers, highlighting crime prevention strategies, and engaging with those who might not interact with police teams normally,” Police Constable Clarke Orchard said.

The huge tractor is a massive John Deere 6110M that displayed police decals, making sure the tractor looked the part, as well as playing a vital role in reassuring residents.

Across the world, forces use many different kinds of vehicles to maintain law and order

If the huge tractor being used by police in the UK wasn’t enough to blow your mind, other police departments select all kinds of cars and trucks to keep criminals in check.

In fact, some police forces enlist the help of luxury vehicles, including Rolls-Royce. For instance, in Dubai, the police have introduced a one-of-a-kind Mansory Cullinan as part of their luxury fleet of vehicles.

Even cars seized from criminals can be used by cops, too, such as this Chevrolet Corvette Stingray chosen by Florida cops when they traded in their patrol cars.
