A wrecked 2026 Tesla Model Y Juniper has already been found in America in a scrapyard located in Texas.
The 2026 Model Y suffered significant damage in the accident, which appears to be one of the first examples of the new car being involved in a wreck.
Deliveries of the new Model Y only kicked off in March 2025, so it hasn’t taken long for one to meet an untimely end.
Judging by the state of the EV, it’s unlikely it will ever find itself back on the road again.

The Tesla Model Y Juniper has suffered extensive damage
Despite the damage, the car is currently up for sale at the Copart facility in Houston, Texas.
Looking at the driver’s side, you’d be surprised to see this EV already in a scrapyard as it’s still spotless.
However, the passenger side has suffered major damage, turning the Model Y into an absolute mess.
One of the front wheels of the Model Y Juniper has sheared off, with the hub following suit.

The brake caliper and brake disc have also been ripped off and all that is left are the suspension arms.
The front quarter panel has taken a beating, with dents and scratches proof of the impact.
The passenger side door is also ruined, and the wing mirror totally destroyed as well.
It didn’t take long for a Juniper to be wrecked
Given that the new Model Y only went on sale a few weeks ago, it hasn’t taken long for one to be written off.
There are no details on the listing as to how the Tesla suffered such damage.
However, the Model Y has clearly had a major impact with something.

Weirdly, the impact doesn’t look to have triggered any of the airbags inside the Model Y.
If there’s any consolation, it looks like the cabin is still in good shape even if it does need a good clean.
The infotainment system reveals the car had only traveled 197 miles, and the car does still power on.
The question now is whether anyone is brave enough to fix it.
