XPeng has officially launched its next-gen AI Flagship G9L SUV at the Paris Motor Show.

The G9L made its debut at an event in Beijing back in September.

Now the day of the global launch has arrived, and there’s a lot to be excited about.

This SUV is big on space and even bigger on the tech.

XPeng always delivers on the tech front

The electric vehicle manufacturer is constantly raising the bar when it comes to automotive technology.

We’ve seen time and time again what this company is capable of, whether that’s outshining Tesla on the Robotaxi front or showing off its AI-powered parking system.

And if the G9L is anything to go by, this juggernaut of the industry isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

What can we expect from the G9L SUV?

The G9L made its debut at a launch event in Beijing back on September 17, but it’s now had its global reveal at the Paris Motor Show.

What better place to have it?

The G9L sits at the center of the company’s stand in Hall 6, with an immersive ‘Physical AI Museum’ divided into four areas – brand technology stack, AI-defined vehicles, flying cars, and humanoid robots.

Bringing together XPeng’s latest developments in AI, intelligent driving, and vehicle technology, the G9L is nothing short of revolutionary.

Available both as a BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) and a REEV (Range-Extended Electric Vehicle), the G9L measures out at 16.79 feet.

But impressive size isn’t all this SUV has to offer.

It runs on XPeng’s VLA 2.0 model, ensuring it can adapt smoothly to different regions.

Arguably one of the coolest things about this car is that it uses the same Turing AI chip as IRON, the humanoid robot made by XPeng.

So if you really think about it, you’re not that far off from driving a robot, how sci-fi is that?

It’s no wonder then that at the launch event in Beijing, He Xiaopeng, the company’s CEO, expanded more on XPeng’s philosophy surrounding technology.

“We believe in ‘car as robot’, over the past few years, we have built an in-house AI foundation based on our work in AI cars and humanoid robots, and it powers both,” he explained.

The G9L is intended to be a flagship for the company’s industry-leading AI technology.

This is a global car in every sense of the word

When XPeng calls this a ‘global car’, it’s meant sincreley.

It’s already met the design standards of four major five-star safety ratings – Euro NCAP, ANCAP [Australia and New Zealand], C-NCAP [China], and CIASI [China].

The G9L has been put through 192 crash tests covering more than 110 individual test items.

Over three years, this car has racked up some serious miles too, covering 6.74 million kilometers across 26 countries as it underwent road testing.

Set to be introduced in 64 countries and regions, the SUV will soon be seeing many more roads around the globe.
