A YouTuber accidentally found an abandoned warehouse in Belgium full of classic cars.
The ‘collection’ is diverse, and potentially quite valuable.
Among others, we spotted two Porsches, a rare off-roader that you don’t see every day in Europe, and an iconic Mercedes 190 D.
But the reason why this collection is here is unfortunately very sad.

The reason why these cars were left behind
The YouTube channel Explomo discovered an abandoned warehouse full of dilapidated classic cars.
It’s an exotic and varied selection.
We saw a Porsche 924 and a 944, a Mahindra off-roader, which is quite rare in Europe, a legendary Mercedes 190 D and even some 1990s and 2000s forgotten classics like the Ford Puma.
It’s a sad sight, for sure, but it gets sadder when we learn the reason why these cars are here.

According to Explomo, this abandoned warehouse is one of several properties that were damaged during the 2021 European floods that affected several countries including Belgium, which is where this video was filmed.
When classic cars look abandoned… but aren’t
That’s not the case here but, sometimes, classic cars look abandoned when they actually aren’t.
For example, there’s a barn in Britain that’s home to at least 200 vehicles that are currently for sale, both individually or in bulk.
But perhaps the most incredible example of a collection of wrecked cars that are not abandoned and not for sale can be found somewhere in the Midwest, where a YouTuber found a collection of classic cars left in a field.

We say ‘somewhere’ in the Midwest because the owner, who’s alive and well, expressly told the YouTuber to not disclose the location because he doesn’t want people to visit, and he doesn’t want to sell the cars.
Apparently, the owner is just happy to leave the cars there to collect dust.
