Mat Armstrong transformed a wrecked Audi R8 through a detailed YouTube rebuild and full car restoration that turned heads online.
The Audi R8 arrived with structural damage, but Armstrong and his team tackled every issue from brackets and body panels to suspension and alignment.
The car restoration also included performance upgrades, like a Quicksilver exhaust, carbon aero parts, and lightweight forged wheels.
Once complete, the YouTuber gifted the fully rebuilt supercar to a close friend.

The Audi restoration began with extensive repairs to the rear quarter and frame, including heat-based realignment and new welded brackets.
Every step was filmed for Armstrong’s MK2 YouTube rebuild series, which showed the challenges of restoring a wrecked Audi R8 with professional precision.
As bodywork progressed, Auto ID carbon parts were added, including side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a large rear wing for added downforce.
Panel gaps were refined, lights were test-fit, and even minor issues, including rattles, were resolved with care.
Performance upgrades followed. The factory exhaust was replaced with a Quicksilver system, removing the OPF for better sound and reduced weight.
A custom tune addressed fault codes and boosted throttle response.
Lamborghini bronze forged wheels enhanced grip and visuals while improving rotational performance.
Inside the cabin, Armstrong and his team reassembled the door mechanisms, adjusted the glass, and completed trim work with attention to fitment and finish.
The final handover of the rebuilt Audi R8 was emotional, with the new owner stunned by the quality and generosity of the gift.
