The Tesla Model S Plaid has made a habit of dominating the drag strip.
America’s premier EV marque has laid waste to many a supercar on the quarter mile.
A video has recently been released of a Toyota Supra meeting the challenge.
And one of them was left pretty embarrassed in the process.

Can Toyota take the drag strip throne from Tesla?
As you probably know by now, the Tesla Model S Plaid has been dominant in drag racing.
The all-electric EV’s instant power delivery is proving tough to handle for many.
However, one legendary car might be about to change all of that.
In a recent YouTube video, the channel Vehicle Virgins put on an intriguing race.
One corner has the dominant Model S Plaid ready and raring to go.
And in the other corner is a fourth-generation Toyota Supra.

But it should be noted that this is far from any ordinary Toyota.
This particular Supra has a humongous Dart block inside the hood.
It also comes equipped with two of the biggest turbochargers you’ve ever seen.
Oh, and it also has a massive parachute at the rear, too.
Two races, one clear winner
The guys decided to conduct two races to determine a clear winner between the two.
Lining up for the first race, the tension was clearly palpable.
The Tesla got a lightning launch off the line – and built up a very solid lead.
And then it started getting reeled in and in by that monstrous Supra.
At just over the halfway mark, the Supra galloped past the Model S.
And it just kept flying and flying until it hit the chequered flag.
At the risk of being a spoiler, the second race was even more embarrassing.
The ungodly Supra simply flew off the line, leaving the Tesla in its wake.
We have to admit – we don’t think we’ve ever seen a Toyota Supra like this.
Drag cars everywhere, beware – if you see this Supra, drive the other way.
