Parker – the host of Backyard Barn Finds – discovered a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am in Tennessee with only 4,000 original miles on the clock and a near-flawless interior.

It had been sitting idle for years in Lewisburg, just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, and belonged to local car enthusiast and seller, Mike.

While he had several classic vehicles available, this was by far the most noteworthy.

From original paint to pristine interior details, this is a rare low-mileage find that will get car enthusiasts’ excitement from 0-60 in record time.

Parker kindly gave followers a full walkaround in the full video.

Due to not being driven in decades, the 1979 Pontiac Trans Am had just 4,480 original miles on the clock.

The YouTuber walks us through the small town, exploring old dealerships and a sign collector’s space, including original signage from the Buick dealer that sold the Trans Am in question.

After being bought new locally, it was stored under a carport by the original owner and is now up for sale – but not yet priced.

The Trans Am is sadly not a 10th Anniversary Edition, which is discovered due to the all-important Y89 code, specific trim, and extended hood bird being absent; however, it still has incredible originality.

Although nothing like the futuristic cabin of this Mercedes-Benz Vision V, the interior is immaculate, showing minimal wear, with original T-top bags, Delco speakers, and untouched factory items still in place – not all Pontiac cars are in such good condition.

However, this isn’t his only car.

He also has a four-speed manual black-on-black 1981 Z28 Camaro tucked away, priced at $8,500 and needing minor cosmetic and interior work.

Mike also shows off a green 1974 GMC service truck that was used for roadside assistance and has been restored with working air conditioning and a powerful engine.

Next, a 1997 Firebird convertible with a V6 and 120,000 miles offered for $10,500 that’s well-preserved with a decent interior and power top.

What’s more, a 1930s Ford fiberglass kit car, built for cruising and not speed, and priced at $16,500 with disc brakes and a 2.3L engine.

Last, but not least, he shows off a restored square-body dually truck with a 468 V8 engine priced at $16,500, featuring a fifth-wheel setup and air conditioning.

However, with Pontiac no longer producing cars, the 1979 Pontiac Trans Am from Tennessee is a really special find – and it’s always exciting to find one hidden away.

When writing about fitness, I trained as a personal trainer, and as a beauty editor, I completed an ‘expert’ in scent diploma with the Fragrance Foundation. “During my tenure at Supercar Blondie, however, I did something I never thought possible: I passed my driving test at the age of 36. One day I’d love to train as a mechanic to better understand what happens under the hood, too. “My sweet spot is providing readers with a ‘takeaway’ (read: something new they didn’t know before) after reading every one of my stories.
