This incredible Acura Integra Type R sports car has sold for over $200,000 at auction in a sale that will live long in the memory.

The Integra Type R is widely seen as one of the greatest cars ever made by Honda/Acura.

It was fast, good-looking, handled superbly, and, in typical Honda fashion, it was also very reliable, lasting a lifetime.

A 2001 example of the Integra Type R recently sold at Bring a Trailer for over $200,000, and with less than 5,000 miles on the clock, this Integra is virtually brand new.

This Acura Integra Type R has very low mileage

One of the most attractive points about this Integra Type R is its incredibly low mileage.

Finished in Phoenix Yellow, it is a 2001 sports car and has just 4,800 miles on the odometer.

According to the listing, it was one of just 1,173 built for the U.S. market during the 2001 model year.

Adding to the value of the Integra is that, thanks to its low mileage, it is an all-original car.

Even the tires on the Acura are the originals!

Demand for this car was clearly high, as the winning bid stood at $204,204.

Looking at its condition in the pictures, it is easy to see why this particular example is worth so much.

The Integra Type R is still critically acclaimed.

Even though its debut was over 30 years ago in 1995, the Integra Type R is still highly regarded in 2025.

Key to this is the high-revving 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, making 195hp and 130lb-ft of torque in the 2001 car.

But it isn’t just a great engine that made the car so good.

As we know, with cars like the Dua Lipa Porsche 911 GT3, it is the handling that can make a car.

Weight reduction, upgrades to the suspension, and more helped to make the car a superb handling machine.

Many still say it is one of the very best handling front-wheel drive cars ever made.

New bodywork, such as a rear wing and front splitter, made the sports car look even cooler.

In Japan, the Type R is still seen as one of the best cars of the 1990s and early 2000s, along with the Honda NSX.

Like with this rare Porsche, it is clear that plenty still hold the Acura Integra Type R in high regard as well.
