The 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack has become most powerful muscle car ever built and we took it on a very special test drive

We traveled to the cold but beautiful mountains of Vermont to review the new 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack, and it was even better than expected.

There were a lot of questions, starting with how the car would react to this unfamiliar environment.

Vermont snow is ideal for SUVs or off-roaders, not for muscle cars.

But it did better than expected, and the reason might surprise you.

Meet the new boss, just as beautiful as the old boss

The new 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack is probably the most high-tech Charger ever made.

Let’s start with the visual impact, because that still matters with a muscle car.

At the front, you’ll see the LED lights, an immediately recognizable trait of the Charger.

And on the hood, you’ll see the ‘SIXPACK’ badge.

That’s because underneath is the new 3.0-liter twin-turbo Hurricane engine, which Dodge brought back – by popular demand – because the electric Charger was great, but people still wanted an internal combustion engine.

The Scat Pack Charger can also be recognized by its signature 20-inch wheels with slotted rotors, the carbon fiber caps on the side mirrors, the vinyl decal, and, of course, the Scat Pack emblem.

The Peel Out Orange paint completes the package.

Inside, you’ll find black leather, Alcantara, and suede with red stitching, and a glass roof, which never hurts.

This Dodge Charger packs a proper punch

The people have spoken, and the people wanted a gas engine, which Dodge was happy to bring back.

Under the hood of this Charger beats a 550hp Inline-6, propelling the car from 0 to 60mph in 3.9 seconds.

It has plenty of torque too (531lb-ft), and four-wheel drive, which is why it feels right at home even here, in Vermont.

The 50-50 weight distribution is perfect, and this, coupled with the enormous amount of torque and the aforementioned all-wheel-drive system, makes it at home here in Vermont, just like it would be at home in a drag race.

By the way, if the Scat Pack option isn’t enough for you, you can opt for the Scat Pack Daytona, which comes with 670hp.

But then you’d really have to be careful around snow.
