This was once America’s most expensive house – and it had a $30 million car collection.
Luxury houses and super cars really do together like a horse and carriage.
You can’t have one without the other.
But even by the standards of the uber-wealthy, this house is a jaw dropper.

A look inside America’s priciest house
This sweeping mansion is located in Bel Air, California and comes with a hefty price tag of $250 million.
Inside is a fully furnished decor that includes four foosball tables, a four-lane bowling alley and a 30 feet wide TV.
That’s not to mention the 12 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, six bars, three kitchens, two wine cellars and a 85-foot pool.
We’re used to hearing these details of luxury from super-yachts like the incredible $1 billion Q-quest yacht, but it’s good to know we can enjoy them on land too.
If we have hundreds of millions to splash, that is.
As if that wasn’t sweet enough, there is the $30 million car collection.
They’re all stored in the garage and believe us when we say, this is a collection for the ages.
It includes a Pagani Huayra, an Ariel Atom 500 and a Spyker.
As reported by carscoops, the priciest item may be a 1936 Mercedes 50 K Special Roadster which is estimated to cost more than $15 million.
How owns this impressive house?
The house sold in late 2019 for a trimmed down price of $94 million.
We say ‘trimmed down’ very loosely, as nearly $100 million is nothing to sneeze at by any stretch.
The buyer’s identity was not publicly revealed, but The Hollywood Reporter said that the new owner was of French-Moroccan origin.
The developer, Bruce Makowsky, had originally set his sights on snagging a Hollywood big wig.
He’d previously told the outlet: “I would love for the buyer to be someone from California, maybe a [David] Geffen or a [Steven] Spielberg.
“This is what Hollywood is all about.
“Who is not going to be wildly impressed when they see this?”
But Tinsel Town wasn’t queuing up to grab the house quite like he’d hoped, so he had to slash the price a few times.
In the end, the $94 million sale proved to be the third highest home sale of 2019 – the top dog that year was a $119.75 million Manor sale from fashion designer Petra Ecclestone.
We’re confident the developer will recover from having America’s third priciest house sale.
How the other half lives, huh?
This won’t be the last time a gorgeous property takes our breath away.
And it’s easy to see why rapper Rick Ross calls his Georgia mansion the ‘promised land’.
It’s true that home is where the heart is.
But when have an indoor pool and bowling alley ever hurt anyone?
