A $450 million megayacht belonging to Google co-founder Sergey Brin has made waves in Miami, turning heads as it towers over the marina.
The 466-foot floating palace, named Dragonfly, is so massive it dwarfs nearby vessels and buildings alike.
Locals and tourists alike are kept busy snapping photos of the sleek vessel in Miami, which looks more like a Bond villain’s lair than a pleasure craft.
The megayacht has earned the distinction of being the largest in the US, which is no mean feat considering the number of billionaires within the country.

Built by the renowned German Shipyard Lürssen and delivered in late 2024, Dragonfly isn’t just a yacht; it’s a floating castle.
The shipyard is famous for making ultra-luxurious vessels, like this $360 million megayacht that won ‘Yacht of the Year’ in 2023.

The Dragonfly is designed by German Frers with interior spaces crafted by Nauta Design, boasting four expansive decks and 12 luxurious staterooms.
A crew of 45 is needed to ensure impeccable service onboard.
Guests can indulge in multiple swimming pools, a beach club, and helipads on both ends of the vessel.
This megayacht is so large that it makes the Lamborghini superyacht that once belonged to Conor McGregor look like a toy boat.
Video footage of the megayacht shows it dwarfing the trees along the marina where it’s parked.

While its massive size might not exactly scream sustainability, the Dragonfly is surprisingly green.
Equipped with a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system, the vessel can operate in electric-only mode for quieter and more sustainable cruising.
It doesn’t compromise on performance either, boasting a top speed of 24 knots and a cruising range for global travel, allowing the megayacht to be anywhere rather quickly.
Originally commissioned by Russian billionaire Leonid Mikhelson under the codename ‘Project Alibaba’, the yacht changed hands during its construction phase.
Sergey Brin acquired the vessel and christened it ‘Dragonfly’ upon its completion, a name previously associated with a former 240-foot yacht.
While he has largely stepped back from day-to-day operations at Google’s parent company, Alphabet, he remains active in various tech ventures and humanitarian efforts.
Forbes estimates the Google co-founder’s current net worth to be $132.5 billion, so we’re guessing the ship’s staggering maintenance fees are unlikely to be a concern.
