The Flying Fox, a $450M yacht, has reportedly found a new home in Abu Dhabi.

This $450M yacht was originally launched in 2019, and she has an interesting story.

Jay-Z and Beyonce regularly charter it.

And you won’t believe how much they spent on tips alone.

The Flying Fox was launched by Lürssen in 2019. According to some sources, it was originally designed on commission for the owner of an airport in Moscow – as in, he literally owns the whole airport.

The yacht then became sort of ‘ownerless’ a few years later.

Obviously somebody did own it, but the identity of the owner was never disclosed.

What we do know is that Jay-Z and Beyonce used to charter the yacht once or twice a year, spending $3.5 million a week on the yacht and $700,000 on tips for the crew.

It’s unclear whether they’re going to be able to do that now, though.

This is because the yacht was reportedly purchased by Abu Dhabi’s Al Nahyan family and, if confirmed, they don’t strike us as sort of people that need – or indeed want – to charter yachts.

The boat accommodates 22 people in 11 cabins, and features a pool that is so wide it stretches across an entire deck.

In addition to that, it also has a two-floor spa, with a sauna and a steam room, a jacuzzi on deck, a beauty salon, and of course a movie theater.

It even has a Teppanyaki grill and a pizza oven for al fresco dining, not the mention the cryo-chamber, and two helipads.

Then again, for the Al Nayhan family, this yacht is probably just another Tuesday.

This is the family that owns an incredible collection of custom-built vehicles, including a massive Hummer H1 that’s about as tall as a building.

So this yacht should fit right in.
