Almost 100 private jets are expected to touchdown in Venice, Italy, this week for the wedding of billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez.
Bezos popped the question to his journalist partner with a 30-carat engagement ring back in May 2023.
Now, the nuptials are just days away, with around 200 guests set to head out to the historical and beautiful city of Venice.
Of course, with it being the wedding of one of the richest people to ever live, the guest list is set to be star-studded.

Who are the stars set to fly in for the Bezos wedding?
Exactly where Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s ceremony will take place is still being kept under wraps; it’s even been suggested the couple might say their ‘I dos’ onboard his $500 million superyacht.
Other reports have suggested the couple will be wed on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore.

Regardless of the specifics, what we do know is that the big day will be in Venice.
Venice Mayor Luigi Brugnaro has previously stressed that the event will cause minimal disruption and that organizers would be ‘absolutely respectful of the fragility and uniqueness of the city’.
He told PEOPLE that the 200 guests were being welcomed into the city for the wedding.
Naturally, the guest list will be made up of some of the richest and most well-known folks on the planet and reportedly includes Bill Gates, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Kris Jenner, and Kim Kardashian, to name just a few.
As you might imagine, the likes of Bill Gates and Kim Kardashian won’t be climbing aboard a budget airline to get to the wedding.
According to the Italian publication Affaritaliani, no fewer than 96 private jets are set to descend on the city for the three-day event.

Private jets won’t be the only luxury mode of transport
With large parts of Venice accessible by water, it is known as the ‘city of water’ after all, private planes won’t be the only luxury travel option used by Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s guests.
Nine megayachts are set to head to Venice, allowing guests to make their way around the city in absolute comfort. It’s unclear if this number includes Bezos’s Koru yacht.
The couple has also reportedly forked out for top-notch security with former US Marines set to guard canals and entrances, with others out on the water on jet skis.
