Natalia Zorina and her 69-strong car fleet

When the pandemic took hold in 2020, many people who had lost work started their own businesses as a way to make ends meet.

For some of these lockdown entrepreneurs, those companies have now become their day job and main source of income.

One such person is Natalia Zorina, a 31-year-old businesswoman who is enjoying the perks her newly-fledged business brings.

Zorina, originally from Ukraine, moved to the US in 2017 and a year later, started renting her family car, a 2011 Porsche Cayenne, on Turo.

Turo is a car-sharing app that allows people to rent out their cars to customers for a daily rate.

The passive side income that renting out her car brought in was enough to cover some living expenses, but was’t enough as a primary source of income.

So, in 2019 Zorina financed a second car, a BMW 6 Series convertible, which made more money, and then a few months later she bought a Tesla to put on Turo, too.

The income was now enough to cover a significant proportion of her family expenses, but it still wasn’t enough to pay her rent in Miami.

When the pandemic started, Zorina took the decision to purchase more cars with personal loans, upping her fleet from three to nine cars.

She even started managing cars for other people on Turo.

In 2021, Zorina has her first investor in her company, Magic City Auto Group, which enabled her to purchase even more cars.

Fast forward to today and she has a fleet of 69 cars, including a Ferrari, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, and Lamborghini.

It’s now a full-time business for Zorina, who works from 11am to 4pm, although she does have three employees helping to manage the rentals.

The hard work is clearly paying off, though, as she lives on the ocean shore in a luxury apartment, and can afford to travel at least five times per year.

She even took her entire family to Tennessee recently and covered the whole trip.

The lowest rate Zorina has is $75 per day for cars like a lexus RX and some of her Audis.

The most expensive vehicle is the Lamborghini Aventador, which goes for $1,700 per day.

It’s clearly working for Zorina, though; last year alone she earned $922,225 from renting her car fleet out on Turo.

Fair play, Zorina. Fair play.
