There has been much speculation about the Cybertruck’s weight.

Tesla’s much-anticipated truck will finally be delivered at the end of November, and so far we’ve just had estimates on how much it will weigh.

But someone got their hands on a document Tesla submitted recently to traffic officials.

And it reveals specifics about the car’s weight and motors.

Earlier this week Elon Musk was a guest on Joe Rogan‘s podcast.

Here he commented on the specs of his upcoming EV.

“It’s a heavy truck,” he said.

But besides confirming it’ll be between 6,000 and 7,000 pounds he didn’t share much.

A Tesla superfan has just discovered the manufacturer’s vehicle identification number (VIN) for the Cybertruck.

It was in a document submitted to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) by Tesla.

The VIN code provides information about a vehicle, such as the manufacturer, model, engine type and year of production.

Thanks to the VIN, we now know the Cybertruck will be powered by three electric motors.

This is a similar layout to Tesla’s Model S Plaid.

That said, the Cybertruck will operate at a higher voltage, making it unlike any Tesla model we’ve seen before.

Most relevant to Tesla fans, the VIN also included information about the Cybertruck’s weight.

Now we know that the Cybertruck will be even heavier than Musk let on.

It will weigh between 9,000 and 10,000 pounds.

That’s twice as heavy as a Toyota Hilux but about the same as a Hummer SUV.

He meant what he said: it’s a heavy truck.
