This guy found a bunch of abandoned cars, including a Lamborghini, in decaying body shop in Chicago.

The shop is really falling apart, and the cars are destroyed.

It’s a shame to see these cars in this condition.

But, if we wanted to find a silver lining, there’s something we could point out about this Lambo.

The catch with this abandoned Lamborghini

A Chicago YouTuber who goes by the name LordExplores found a decaying body shop with tons of abandoned cars parked inside it.

The body shop is literally falling apart, with collapsing walls and bricks raining from the ceiling, and the cars are in equally bad shape.

The shop apparently specialized in Lincolns, because we could identify at least two Lincoln limos, including a Town Car, and a couple of Lincoln SUVs.

During the video we also spotted what looks like an Ford Econoline from the 1980s, a Bentley stretch limo and a Lamborghini Murciélago.

But there’s actually a huge catch with the Lambo… because it isn’t a real Lambo.

This is a kit car, a fake Lamborghini put together using bits and pieces from other vehicles.

Although, on this occasion, the YouTuber noted that some of these components were original parts sourced from Lamborghini.

So this kit car is like a Franken-Lambo.

Unfortunately, this isn’t a one-off

We wish we could tell you this was a one-off, but that’s not the case.

There are abandoned warehouses and body shops packed with old cars all over the world.

A while back, we mentioned the abandoned car factory where Ferraris were left to rot, or the warehouse with 22 rare cars everyone apparently forgot about.

The worst part is that this ‘epidemic’ is apparently spreading everywhere, and luxury cars aren’t exempt.

The best, or worst depending on your point of view, example of this is probably the McLaren SLR that’s currently ‘rotting in peace‘ in a field in Czechia.

This particular vehicle got taken out by the world’s most efficient repo man: bureaucracy.

It was seized in 2011 as part of an ongoing investigation.

It was supposed to be a temporary thing but, as they say, nothing is so permanent as a temporary government measure.
