There’s an abandoned McLaren 570S that’s been parked, abandoned, outside a hotel in London for years.
The McLaren in question hasn’t moved a yard since at least 2020 – possibly even longer.
We wanted to see if it was still there, and it is.
But there’s something else that stood out to us.

The theories behind the abandoned supercar outside the hotel in London
We know that the McLaren 570S was first driven to the hotel and parked there in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic.
There were a lot of shelter-in-place restrictions across the globe back then, so it took a while for the car to ‘go viral’.
But when it did, various theories emerged.

St Pancras International, the hotel in question, is one of London’s most expensive hotels and, a few years ago, an anonymous person who claims to work at the hotel came up with an explanation.
Speaking to Metro, this hotel staffer said the car belonged to an unnamed businessman, from an unspecified country, who’s been living in the hotel since 2020 because he can’t go back home.
It sounds pretty thin, to be honest, and we when we saw the car in person, the mystery thickens.
What we found out examining the pink McLaren

The first thing that doesn’t really fit that theory is the pink wrap – simply because it doesn’t look particularly businessman-like.
But then, a closer inspection revealed an even more confusing element because there’s a sticker that reads ‘Yiannimize’ on the side of the car.
Yiannimize is the name of a YouTuber who famously imported the UK’s first Cybertruck, but it is also the name of a vehicle wrapping service owned by the YouTuber.

The sticker had never been mentioned before but, when we looked at older pictures of the car, we spotted a sticker that looks slightly different.
So if anybody has older images of the abandoned McLaren with the same sticker or a different sticker, please come forward.
Either way, it might provide a clue.
