These guys bought an abandoned storage unit sight unseen and found hidden gems inside, including a Dodge Challenger and a vintage Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

It’s safe to say they hit an actual jackpot.

Especially considering what they paid for it.

The group chipped in and paid $962 for the storage unit and easily found goodies worth 10 times more than that.

Hitting the jackpot inside $962 abandoned storage unit

In a 2019 video on the What The Hales YouTube channel, the group of friends bought the storage container without knowing what was inside.

When they won the bid, they opened it to find a fairly recent Dodge Challenger with a bright orange finish.

It wasn’t just any Challenger, either.

This beast featured the iconic Hemi V8 powerplant that’s now officially discontinued.

To top it off, it came with a stock manual transmission.

This make was undoubtedly rare, and you might only come across these in rare barn finds like this guy did.

But things took a sad turn when the group realized they couldn’t keep the Challenger due to legalities and formalities.

Although the disappointment arrived early, there was still a silver lining — or should we say linings.

Behind the manual Challenger, a vintage Harley Davidson was hiding under covers.

A Dodge Challenger, a Harley-Davidson, and a half-Triumph

On first impressions, it looked like it was in pretty decent shape despite having spent several years inside the abandoned storage unit.

This Harley was apparently made in the late 1950s or early 1960s and could easily become a great ride after some work.

Now, the team speculated this Harley could fetch them a couple of thousand dollars, which was already a win for everyone — even if they couldn’t keep the muscle car.

A reworked Harley-Davidson is an absolute gem, and if you’re dedicated like this guy who also found one, you will be rewarded well.

It also had a Kentucky engine block, which alone could sell for $5,000.

But there was more.

The YouTubers also found the remains of an early 1960s Triumph motorcycle with its engine still intact.

That, too, would easily fill their pockets with a few thousand.

This situation reminds us of when a YouTuber bought an unknown military crate and found a motorcycle engine inside, but this was much more special.

All in all, this storage container proved to be an excellent gamble.
