When Adele purchased Sylvester Stallone’s $58 million mansion, she had one deal breaker.

Not that the house looks like it did when the Rocky star lived there – Adele has totally transformed it.

The property was originally going for $110 million, so the singer managed to get a good deal on it.

But had Stallone not agreed to one condition, the whole deal could have fallen apart.

When Adele bought Sylvester Stallone’s mansion, there was one dealbreaker

Cast your minds back to 2022, and you may recall reading that Adele purchased Sylvester Stallone’s $58 million mansion in Beverly Hills.

On the face of it, it’s not too out of the ordinary.

Celebrities will frequently purchase property from each other – Bad Bunny’s $17 million mansion collection includes one that used to belong to Ariana Grande.

But there was something about this transaction that was particularly headline-grabbing.

Namely, it was one deal breaker that could have allowed the transaction to fall faster than one of Rocky’s opponents.

And that is that Adele wanted the bronze statue of Rocky Balboa to remain at the house.

Stallone had originally wanted to take the poolside sculpture with him.

Upon hearing this, Adele reportedly said: “That’s a no-deal. That’s gonna blow the deal.”

It’s interesting to think that this is what would cinch it for the singer.

The property has a lot of other amazing amenities going for it.

In the time that the Oscar-nominated actor lived there, he slowly transformed the once-Mediterranean-style compound into a more contemporary estate.

He added a movie theater, custom bar, gym, and cigar room with an air-filtration system.

And that’s on top of the art studio inside the eight-car garage and the guesthouse.

It’s no wonder it went for so much money.

And guess what? Adele has done even more with it since she bought it.

What changes has the singer made to her new home?

In the present day, the mansion almost looks unrecognizable.

The property was gutted, and daily construction turned it into something else altogether.

Only the swimming pool has remained, alongside the Rocky statue, of course.

Adele’s vision has favored modern decor over Stallone’s Mediterranean taste.

Industry insiders have estimated this renovation could exceed $50 million, Yahoo! reported.

And given that it’s not even finished, that figure will only rise.

“When it’s all said and done, it’s reasonable to expect the investment for the finished and furnished home could be equivalent to what she paid for it, upwards of $50 million,” Leigh Anne Raines, owner of Chic By Design, said.

“It may be another five years, easily another three, from completion.”
