This Tesla Cybertruck owner was left seriously impressed after his EV was able to pull a Dodge Ram 2500 out of a river with ease.

The Cybertruck has an impressive 11,000-pound towing capacity for the AWD and Cyberbeast, while the recently discontinued Long Range offers a lower, but still impressive, 7,500 pounds.

This means the EV should make pretty light work of rescuing a stranded vehicle.

And that’s exactly what one owner found when he was on vacation in Canada.

The Tesla Cybertruck came to the rescue of a stuck Dodge Ram 2500

There have been plenty of demonstrations of the Cybertruck’s pulling power shared online, including a bunch of videos showing the EV engaging in a tug-of-war against everything from a semi-truck to a 2004 Humvee

However, one owner has recently shown its towing power in a much more practical way.

Posting on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum, the man explained that he’d been on a camping trip with his family in northern British Columbia, ‘miles off the highway in a remote area’.

During their trip, a family arrived in their Dodge Ram 2500, towing a jet boat, which ‘immediately got stuck’ in the mud.

Thankfully, the Tesla Cybertruck owner was on hand, and he had his tow straps.

He quickly rigged up the Ram to his truck and was able ‘pull them out like it was nothing’.

“Practically zero effort for the Cybertruck,” he added.

Sometimes the Cybertruck needs a hand, too

While we’re sure this truck owner was delighted that the Cybertruck was there to help out, the shoe was on the other foot for Tesla driver and YouTuber Dreamliner who attempted to take his truck off-roading in California.

He took his Cybertruck up the Bee Canyon Truck Trail, where it initially tackled the tough terrain ‘like a beast’.

However, he then hit a major snag after the Cybertruck became stuck and was completely unable to move

Eventually, he had to call in the rescuers, who arrived in a Bronco and hauled the EV out.
