After months of waiting, the swanky new iPhone 17 range is finally here, as Apple announces the next wave of smartphones with an all-new look.

The last iPhone to land in our palms was the 16 in September last year. But with the excitement brewing for the 17, it seems like forever since we had a vastly improved iPhone to rave about.

But that’s all changed now.

Today, Apple has unveiled the iPhone 17 and Pro models, and here’s everything that we know so far.

Apple unveils the iPhone 17 and Pro models

The iPhone 17 has been on tech fanatics’ minds for the better part of a year, since early leaks indicated that it would blow everything that the 16 offered out of the water.

With predictions that this could be the most revolutionary flagship Apple product in 15 years, since the trend-setting iPhone 4, Apple has now revealed the iPhone 17, Pro, and Pro Max in full.

Coming in five new colors: Lavender, mist blue, black, white, and sage, the new standard model is priced at $799.

As for the Pro version, the bolder orange and olive hues are a keen favorite with fans, and it lands at $1099. Then there’s the Pro Max for an extra rack, coming in with a bigger price tag of $1199.

All models will be available on September 19.

As early leaks suggested, the model will be a substantial amount thicker than its predecessor.

But this is all to pack in some solid hardware.

The new iPhone 17 finally features 120Hz ProMotion, a larger 6.3″ display, and a new front camera that is twice as good as anything the brand has ever had before.

If it’s the thin life you’re after, though, the brand-new iPhone Air might be the revolutionary piece of kit that suits you best.

Pulling out all of the stops

Not only will the new iPhone 17 be backed by the groundbreaking iOS 26 update, but its hardware will also have some massive upgrades from the 16.

Particularly, fans have raved about the new Ceramic Shield, which makes it three times more scratch-resistant, offers an improved charge life by over eight hours, and boasts a new charging rate that fills up half of your juice in 20 minutes flat.

But the ante is up at the iPhone 17 Pro. With a base memory file of 256GB, the best camera ever is slated to be as good as having ‘eight pro lenses in your pocket’.

For the memory-loving experts, there’s even an iPhone Pro Max in the pipeline, which boasts the first 2TB storage capacity.

Combined with the best camera yet, the iPhone 17 is already one of the most solid iPhones yet, and that’s before you pair it with the groundbreaking AirPods Pro 3.
