Apple gave a gift to every employee who worked on the revolutionary Vision Pro – but the present has divided opinions online.
The tech giant unveiled the Apple Vision Pro in 2023, and it went on sale the following year.
Apple brands the headset a ‘spatial computer’ that allows you to ‘seamlessly blend digital content with the physical world’.
And the employees who helped bring the high-tech headset into the physical world were given a gift from Apple as a ‘thank you’ for all their hard work.

The gift given to staff who worked on the Apple Vision Pro divided opinions
The Apple Vision Pro is an impressive bit of technology that uses physical inputs, like head tilts, eye movements, and speech, to interact with the system.
Apple spent years developing the device, and wanted to thank the dedicated team who worked on it.

So, when the product was launched, the company sent out a gift to those involved.
Now, at this point, you might be thinking Apple sent them out their very own Vision Pro.
But the cool bit of tech costs a cool $3,499, and it was in seriously high demand when it was released.
Instead, team members were given a frame with a piece of black card that had a Vision Pro shape on it.
Underneath the image were the words: “Thank you for helping the world say hello to the Vision Pro.”
A photo of the gift was shared on X by Kevin Aubin back in 2024, who called it a ‘nice gift’, but not everyone agreed.
“Wouldn’t a nice gift be… a Vision Pro?” one person questioned.
“I wonder if they’d rather have the real thing,” someone else wrote.

“They should get this and an Vision Pro, this would be cool to hang in your home office, just showing that you contributed to said project,” a third added.

But that wasn’t the only thing they were given from the tech giant
However, others agreed with Aubin that it was a ‘nice gift’ from Apple.
And some staff members even took to their own social media accounts to show off their present, with one saying she ‘loved it’.
Alongside the framed picture, the tech company also offered its employees 25 percent off the price of the Vision Pro if they were keen to get one.

According to Bloomberg, the company also gives its employees $500 to spend on Apple products every three years.
So if staff used both the $500 and the 25 percent discount, they could have bought themselves a Vision Pro headset for around $2,125
