Apple iOS 26 is set to be released today, and here are some of the new features your iPhone will be getting.
After three months of beta testing, iOS 26 is now available, compatible with iPhones 11 and up.
Among the new features is a Liquid Glass design, lock screen enhancements, and AutoMix.
There’s even something for the drivers out there, with upgrades to CarPlay here too.

Apple iOS 26 is here – what that means for your iPhone
iOS 26 brings with it a new Liquid Glass design, meaning the menus, buttons, and icons have a ‘translucent’ look.
Apple described it as ‘a new translucent material that reflects and refracts its surroundings, bringing greater focus to content, and delivering a new level of vitality across controls, navigation, app icons, widgets, and more’.

The Lock Screen’s clock also fills up more space, adapting to whatever picture has been chosen.
Over on iMessages, there are a whole host of changes available.
Apple Cash is now available in group chats – meaning paying for group meals out won’t be so cumbersome from now on.
There’s also the option to customize the backgrounds of chats, and the option to create polls in groupchats.

And if you want to avoid anonymous texters, their messages will now be moved into an Unknown Senders folder.
Speaking of unknown people trying to get a hold of you, the Call Screening and Hold Assist is a huge plus.
Call Screening, an opt-in setting, will ask unknown callers for their name and their reason for calling.
The Hold Assist will wait on hold for you during a call and let you know when the person on the other line is ready.
Like your music? Well, you’ll love the AutoMix feature over on Apple Music.
Allowing you to transition effortlessly from one song to another, you’ll feel like a DJ in a club in Ibizia.
But you’ll more likely be sitting in your apartment trying to impress your friends.
And let’s not forget about CarPlay either – the Liquid Glass design is now on your car’s display screen.
It also gives you the option to respond to messages with standard ‘Tapbacks’ like a thumbs up or a heart emoji.

Calls will now have a compact view, allowing drivers to keep an eye on turn-by-turn directions.
And Live Activities will keep you afloat with information like a flight’s arrival time if you’re commuting to the airport.
What else do iPhone 17 users have to be excited about?
Ever since the iPhone 17 was announced, there’s been a ton of buzz about all the new features.
The overheating problem has been solved, the battery life has seen a 19 percent increase, and a new ‘groundbreaking’ memory security feature has won a lot of praise.
And top of all of that, the iPhone 17 is cheaper than the Google Pixel 10.
Apple iOS 26 is merely the cherry on top.
