If you’re the sort of person who loses their iPhone regularly, there’s a very handy Apple Watch feature that can help – and you might not even know about it.

The Apple Watch was released in 2015 and quickly became the world’s best-selling wearable tech

As well as offering the functions of a fitness tracker, the Apple Watch also integrates with other Apple products to make life easier.

And there’s a little-known feature that can prove to be very useful if you often misplace your iPhone.

The Apple Watch can make finding your iPhone a lot easier

For those who spend more time than they’d like to admit looking for their lost iPhone, the Apple Watch Find My Phone feature is a lifesaver.

You can simply tap the button on the side of the watch and hit the small icon that looks like a phone ringing, and – ta dah! – your missing phone will ring, and you can retrieve it.

But the handy little app actually has an additional useful feature, as recently spotted by Tom’s Guide

As well as tapping the icon to make the iPhone ring, you can press and hold it, and it’ll make the phone flash its LED as well as ring, making it a whole lot easier to spot, especially in a dark room.

The same feature can be used to find other Apple products, like the MacBook, iPad, and the incredibly easy-to-lose AirPods.

Newer model iPhones and Apple Watches even come with a precision tracking tool, which should lead you directly to your device.

And if you want to make sure you never misplace your devices again, you can receive a notification on your Apple Watch when you’ve left it behind.

To set it up, go into the Find Devices app on your watch and then tap the device you want notifications for, and tap Notify When Left Behind.

Simple.

The watch has plenty of little-known functions to discover

You’d think with the Apple Watch living right there on your wrist, there wouldn’t be much you didn’t know about it.

However, the smart watch is crammed with so many features that it’s easy to miss some of them.

Like, the fact that your Apple Watch can serve as a car key by adding it to your Apple Wallet.

You can also use your watch to find Apple AirTags without having to get your iPhone involved.

There’s even a neat little Walkie-Talkie function that allows you to chat to other Apple Watch users through your watch.
