Every gearhead dreams of working with cars

Car fans often wish that they could make their passion for cars into a career – but few manage to do so.
Learning the ins and outs of engines can take many years to master, with mechanics having to complete complicated tasks.
But, just wait until you see what this young apprentice named Ethan has managed to achieve at the tender age of 20.
This 18-year-old restores Ferraris in California

“It all kind of fell through my family on my dad’s side,” he said in a video uploaded to YouTube.
Ethan and his dad went to races, and their love of cars became their ‘main bond.’
“I just kept educating myself as much as I could about cars, specifically classic cars and motorsport, I kind of set my goal as something I wanted to do career-wise,” he continued.
“I just wanted to be surrounded by cars.”
After he visited a shop during his high school days, and from there, he continued to tour various auto shops.
But one caught his eye that he hadn’t yet visited, and once he did, a whole new door opened for him.
He visited the shop, was offered a job, and the rest is history.
The eager youngster explained that he had no experience and had been learning on the job, thanks to his boss.
“I’m so much more knowledgeable than I was two years ago.
“And I’m very fortunate to have been given such a chance to work on multi-million dollar Ferraris […], to drive them, to learn so much stuff […] is just beyond what I ever could have imagined at this age,” noted Ethan.
He hopes to keep his passion going at the shop in San Francisco – The Pit Stop Automotive, which is run by Raffi Najjarian.
