This Arizona teenager invented a genius gadget that makes doors more secure.
Ayush Sidapara is a normal Scottsdale teenager in most ways, but he’s stood out from the crowd in one noticeable way.
That’s because he invented the Door Bull, an ingenious device that makes doors more secure.

We all like to feel safe in our homes, but break-ins do happen.
Oftentimes, the door is the first casualty of such intrusion, when it gets kicked in or broken down.
One teenager from Scottsdale, Arizona, has come up with a solution to that.

The Door Bull started life as an 8th-grade project, but is now a product in 15,000 homes with a profit of more than $800,000.
It’s the work of Ayush Sidapara.
“Deadbolts are the most common type of door locks, and I learned the physics behind them are hilariously bad,” Ayush told Arizona’s Family.
The device works as an anchor and reinforces the strength of the frame, which is a lot stronger than the actual door.

Not only is the Door Bull in use in thousands of homes, but it’s also being used in schools across Texas, California, and Pennsylvania.
“The Public school next to us had a school shooting threat. It wasn’t an actual school shooter, but it was a threat,” Ayush recalled.
“The fact that something so tragic can just happen that quickly, I thought that I had the ability to change that.”

The exciting future of the Door Bull
What’s next for the Door Bull?
Ayush said he was working with Senator Analise Ortiz to have his genius gadget installed throughout her community.
The plan is to have 100 of them donated to households throughout Maryvale, an area in Phoenix.
This area is noted for having a crime problem due to increasing levels of poverty.

Hopefully, Door Bull can make a difference to the residents and help them feel safe in their homes.
It’s always great to see a young person achieving something wonderful.
You may recall the incredible story of the 12-year-old from Memphis who achieved nuclear fusion in his bedroom.
Or how about the girl from Pennsylvania who came up with an invention that eliminates blind spots in cars?
But some great things can come by pure luck – like the 14-year-old who hit the jackpot while fishing.
