A 1962 Aston Martin DB4 spent 30 years stashed away inside a barn but has now finally been hauled out and is set sell for an impressive sum.
Aston Martin launched its DB4 back in 1958 with a production run that lasted until 1963.
During that time, just over 1,200 examples were built.
And one was recently unearthed in a New York barn after spending three decades gathering dust.

The 1962 Aston Martin DB4 barn find is worth a small fortune
It’s fantastic to see any classic car rescued from an old barn, garage, or outbuilding.
However, there’s something particularly exciting when the car in question is an Aston Martin, like this 1959 model that once belonged to a spy, or this battered-looking DB4 that sold for $181,639 at auction.

More recently, a 1962 Aston Martin DB4 was pulled out of a barn in New York, where it had spent the last 30 years.
The previous owner of the car had worked at a body shop and had been gifted the Aston Martin by his boss as an incredibly generous ‘thank you’ gift.
The man had the DB4 towed to his property and had every intention of giving it the full restoration it deserved.
However, fast-forward three decades and the poor old Aston Martin has spent most of its life parked up.
The DB4 had once sported a bright blue exterior with a contrasting red leather interior, but it was now hard to see, due to the amount of dirt and grime that had built up over the years.
Thankfully, the car has since been rescued and is up for sale, where it’s been hailed as an ‘exciting and original discovery’.
We can’t argue with that.

The DB4 has been given a valuation of a whopping $324,000.
Here’s hoping it ends up with someone who can finally give it a full restoration.
The DB4 is a very special car
Unveiled at the 1958 London Motor Show, the Aston Martin DB4’s good looks made it an instant sensation.
But the car didn’t just look good, it also boasted a lot of power under the hood. The DB4 was fitted with a 3.7-liter engine and could produce up to 240 horsepower.
The car had a top speed just shy of 140mph and could hit 0-60mph in 9.3 seconds.
Decades on, the Aston Martin remains a firm favorite with car collectors, and are a real piece of automotive history.
