Magnus Walker has spent decades building one of the most recognizable Porsche collections on the planet.

Now, he’s preparing to let it go.

Walker, a British-born fashion designer turned Porsche icon best known as the self-styled Urban Outlaw, is putting his personal garage under the hammer after 40 years of collecting, modifying, and driving.

And he’s doing it publicly, with an auction that reads like a highlight reel of his entire life with the brand.

What Magnus Walker is selling, and why it’s a big deal

RM Sotheby’s will host the auction in March 2026, offering 160 lots from Walker’s personal Porsche collection.

These cars cover four decades of Porsche history, from early short-wheelbase 911s to later Turbos, plus a mix of 80s and 90s transaxle models.

Alongside the cars, there’s memorabilia, spare parts, and rare items he picked up along the way.

Walker bought his first Porsche in 1992 when he was just 25.

One car turned into two.

Two turned into a full-blown obsession.

Before long, his Los Angeles warehouse in the Arts District was packed with more than 40 Porsches at once.

But he never collected cars just to look at them.

He built his reputation by saving neglected Porsches and turning them into loud, aggressive, street-legal machines with racecar vibes.

He calls them Sports Purpose builds, and the rule was simple: drive them, don’t worship them.

Eventually, though, the Porsche collection grew bigger than Walker ever planned.

He has described the decision to sell as ‘shedding skin’ – a way to reset after what became an out-of-control hobby that started to feel heavy instead of fun.

Specific cars haven’t been revealed yet, but the scale alone makes this one of the most important single-owner Porsche auctions in years.

This isn’t goodbye, it’s a reset

Selling the collection doesn’t mean Magnus Walker is done with cars.

His career has always jumped between worlds, from fashion and real estate to publishing and public speaking.

Porsche just happens to be the thing that made him famous.

His rebellious approach changed how people saw modified Porsches, especially in the US.

He proved you could break the rules, drive your cars hard, and still build something iconic.

This auction feels less like walking away and more like making room.

Walker is closing one chapter so the next one can start properly.

For buyers, it’s a rare chance to own a piece of Porsche history shaped by one of the brand’s most recognizable characters.

For Walker, it’s a clean break, a fresh breath, and a reminder that even legends sometimes need to clear the garage to move forward.
