This man from Virginia bought a new BMW M5 and decided to drive it just 200 miles before bidding it farewell.
However, it was a bittersweet goodbye as the owner sold it for a whopping $20,000 loss.
The BMW M5 is a powerful and sleek car, and the condition of this one on offer was basically brand new.
But the M5 isn’t the only impressive invention rolling off the company’s production line, either.

This new BMW M5 was driven for just 200 miles before its final demise
The BMW M5 is an impressive saloon, with a drivetrain set to be envied by every car it passes on the open road.
The 2025 edition’s ‘MM TwinPower Turbo V8-cylinder petrol engine combined with an electric drive, brings a system power of 727hp (535 kW)’ according to BMW itself, with the 2026 edition being equally impressive.

But, despite the numbers, one 2026 edition was sold on by one driver in Virginia after he had driven just 200 miles.
The car was auctioned off on Cars and Bids. It was reportedly purchased new in May 2025 and racked up an incredibly low amount of miles.
This G9X M5’s exterior boasted a Frozen Deep Grey finish alongside a red and black interior.
It also came with 20 and 21-inch M Dual-spoke wheels with no notable modifications noted by the seller.
“Power comes from a gasoline-electric plug-in hybrid powertrain, which consists of a 4.4L twin-turbocharged V8, an electric motor, and a 14.8-kWh lithium-ion battery.

“The system is rated at a combined 717hp and 738lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission,” stated the listing.
But selling the new car in such an impressive and immaculate condition with the Driving Assistance Professional package, the Carbon Package, and the Executive Package in tow came with a disadvantage.
You see, the buyer actually suffered a $20,000 loss as the ticket price of the M5 was supposedly $133,325.
The buyer got a good deal, though, for a basically brand-new car. Guess it’s lucky for some, right?
BMW is a brand set to impress
Aside from the M5, the brand also has other vehicles on offer with powerful specs attached to them.
From 4x4s to EVs, the car company really has done it all.
Fans are eager to snap up every new offering, like the BMW Speedtop, which is rumored to cost $577,000 and sold out immediately after it was revealed.
Plus, this could be the quirkiest invention yet, with BMW’s bizarre new futuristic electric motorcycle allowing you to ride without a helmet.
