This 24-year-old YouTuber bought a Bugatti Chiron, wrecked it, and now he’s selling it.
It’s no ordinary Chiron, either.
It’s the Pur Sport version, which is even rarer.
And you’ll never guess what the insurance company had to say about it.

According to the insurance company, this Bugatti Chiron is worth…
YouTuber Alex Gonzales bought a Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport and crashed the supercar about two seconds later.
Actually, that’s partially incorrect.
We should probably rephrase that.
He bought this 1,479hp hypercar, wrapped it in Lamborghini-inspired purple vinyl, ‘accidentally’ damaged the rear wing, and then he crashed it.
More or less in that order.
Obviously, he didn’t crash it on purpose, but that doesn’t change the outcome.

According to the insurance company, this Chiron is now worth exactly zero dollars.
It’s a total write-off.
Here’s what the car is actually worth
Obviously, the insurance company is just doing its job. But the car is clearly not worthless, especially when you consider the fact that the engine is intact.
It is currently available from Copart, and we know that wrecked supercars often sell for a lot more than we think when sold through Copart or other platforms.
A while back, a heavily damaged McLaren Senna still sold for over $500 million, which is more than a brand-new McLaren 750S, by the way.

Then there’s the case of the McLaren P1 damaged by Hurricane Ian in Florida about three years ago.
The P1 was in terrible condition, but ended up selling for $575,000.
As for this Bugatti Chiron, even in this condition, it’ll likely still sell for $1 million, if not more.
A brand-new Chiron Pur Sport starts at around $4 million, and this one will surely require a lot of work – and money. But as we mentioned, the engine works, and that’s by far the most important, and expensive, part.
So stay tuned.
