Australian police are having a very good time of things lately.
Specifically, we’re discussing the Western Australia Police Force today.
The local law enforcement has recently begun building a luxury patrol fleet.
And it is all thanks to the stupidity of one hapless criminal.

Clueless criminal keeps getting caught
Although car crime is always a serious topic, today’s story is a little humorous.
On March 31st, Western Australian Police posted a video on TikTok.
The video in question wasn’t an ad campaign or a recruitment drive.
Instead, it revealed an extremely unlikely addition to the patrol fleet.
Last September, a local tech CEO named Hyung Dae Shin got himself in a lot of trouble.

Better known as “Tommy Shin”, the man was found to have a history of drink driving.
Western Australia courts ordered Shin to have an alcohol interlock device installed.
But he was found to be driving his car without the device – so the car was seized and his licence suspended.
Thankfully, Shin’s Maserati Quattroporte isn’t going to waste, however, because the cops are using it.
The video showed the Australian police revealing the liveried Maserati.
Australian police catch criminal again
Unfortunately, Shin has proven himself to be a repeat offender.
A few days after the Maserati unveiling, Shin was found to be driving.
And this time, he was driving a friend’s Mercedes despite having no licence.
When Western Australia police dug deeper, they realized that he had been driving his own Mercedes, too.
Police Minister Reece Whitby recently referred to him as a “bloody idiot.”
Australian cops are now pressing charges against Shin because of his repeat offending.
And they are expecting to request another seizure order from the court.
Shin’s stupidity might single-handedly build a luxury patrol fleet for Western Australian law enforcement.
