When Beyoncé and Jay-Z spent a week on board the $400 million superyacht Flying Fox, they left the crew a tip that was exceptionally generous.
During their stay on the superyacht, the celeb power couple reportedly spent $3.5 million a week for the privilege.
But that wasn’t their only expense – the crew also saw the benefit of the pair’s sizable bank balances.
Let’s just say, these tips would be enough to make anyone consider a career change.

What you need to know about the Flying Fox
At 450 feet and costing $400 million, the Flying Fox is big in every sense.
Built by Lürssen, the yacht featured a two-story spa, a pool spanning the width of the deck, 11 guest cabins – with their own balconies – and a cryo-chamber.
And that’s in addition to a jacuzzi on the deck, a beauty salon, and a movie theater.

On top of all of that, the boat has its own staff of 54.
It played host to Beyoncé’s 40th birthday celebrations back in 2021, where it cruised the Mediterranean.
Sounds like a great way to ring in the big 4-0.
But it wasn’t just Queen Bey that had cause to celebrate.
After she and Jay-Z left, they likely gave the crew a tip of $630,000, as that represents 20 percent gratuity of the yacht’s $3.5 million rate.
That’s essentially the cost of a Rolls-Royce Phantom or a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, to put it into perspective.

Gratuities are usually given in cash to the captain, but with this much cash and such high-profile clients, another route was likely taken.
The money was more likely wired to a broker.
At any rate, that is a payday any of us would be happy to receive.
If anyone knows how to live the high life, it’s Jay-Z and Beyoncé
If the dictionary had pictures of celebrities next to words, Jay-Z and Beyoncé would be sitting comfortably under the word to ‘Luxury’.
After all, the singer did once give her husband a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport for his 41st birthday.
The couple also reportedly owns one of three Rolls-Royce Boat Tails in the world.
When it comes to celebrity power couples, Jay-Z and Beyoncé are in a league of their own.
