The BMW 750iL was one of the most luxurious icons of the car world once upon a time, and now one could be yours, with a catch.
The model in question has hit the auction block with links to Tupac Shakur, proving it really is a piece of both auto and pop history.
It’s been given a new lease of life thanks to a full restoration, ready for a new owner to enjoy.
However, there is a catch: due to the historical significance and the fact that it still runs remarkably well, there is a huge price tag attached.

The BMW 750iL was pure luxury personified upon its release
In the ’90s, luxury cars looked slightly different from how they do now.
The BMW 750i was in production from 1994 to 2001 and was widely known as the flagship of the BMW 7 Series, and in 2000, a new big brother arrived.

The iL was extended by 14cm, and almost 17,000 of the model sedans were made as a result.
According to the car giant itself, it gained popularity after being driven by James Bond; however, the car was actually a 740iL, not a 750iL.
Regardless of this, the car was well-loved and known to be a high-security option for many, thanks to emergency systems, perfect for defense.
For those clued up on pop culture, though, you’ll know that there is one BMW 750iL that stands out from the rest, relating to Tupac Shakur.

Tupac Shakur had his last ride in this luxury Sedan
Now, in a world first, the very BMW 750iL that Tupac Shakur took his last ride in has gone up for sale.
Of course, the car has undergone a deep level of restoration due to the events that occurred within those four doors.
Facilitated by Celebrity Cars Las Vegas, the company explained that the BMW owned by Tupac Shakur has undergone a ‘comprehensive restoration to return it to the condition it was in prior to the shooting’.

Despite being repainted, the car has a ‘small exterior indentation’ which is believed to match up to a bullet impact point.
The listing explained that the interior door panel and liner were pulled back to discover the ‘original weld marks’, but apart from this factor, it has been fully restored and could be yours for a small sum of $1,750,000.
To secure the car, which once carried Tupac Shakur, a refundable deposit of $20,000 is needed, as well as a signed confidentiality agreement.
Plus, if that wasn’t enough for you, the brand new owner will also obtain documents that verify the ownership and history of the car.
So, if you fancy owning a piece of history and continuing Tupac Shakur’s legacy, this could be for you.
