Boeing demonstrates one of its most rigorous tests, as a pilot slams on the brakes while traveling at 200mph.

The footage shows a Boeing 747-8 performing a rejected takeoff (RTO) under the most extreme conditions. It was fully loaded to its maximum takeoff weight, equipped with 100 percent worn-out brakes, and the pilots pushed all four engines to maximum thrust.

When the plane started going over 200mph, the pilot slammed the brakes, bringing the gigantic aircraft to a screeching halt.

The test, performed 14 years ago, was designed to simulate the worst-case scenario and prove the aircraft can safely stop even in the most demanding situations.
