Three mysterious classic cars have been pulled from a Brooklyn, USA, garage during demolition to make way for new apartments.
The 92-year-old Auto Baby Sitters parking garage is something of an institution in New York.
However, nobody expected these forgotten classics to emerge.

The classic cars

In September 2023, developers moved ahead and began clearing the iconic Auto Baby Sitters garage to make way for a 79-unit apartment building.
They may have been dusty, but some notable classic cars were pulled from the back of the shop.
The forgotten finds included a 1959 Cadillac, a Pontiac Fiero, and a Checker Marathon.

Seeing them lined up at the curb at 827 Sterling Place was an impressive and unusual sight.
That wasn’t all, as the garage began to clear, another two-door mint green coupe Cadillac with New York plates was discovered.
Its tailfins and headlights suggest a 1957 model.
There’s more, a 1970 Volkswagen Beetle and a 1970s white-with-woodgrain Jeep Wagoneer Limited were pulled out.

Perhaps due to flooding combined with the dry air of the city over the years, the cars were all coated in mud and dirt to some degree.
Some cars, including the two-door Cadillac, Wagoneer, and the Checker, were thankfully more sheltered from the elements.
The bottom line is that nobody really knows how they got there or why they were left and forgotten about when parking there costs upwards of $500 per month.
Other abandoned classics

Meanwhile, YouTuber, Kenny Kaplan, discovered a separate collection of European classic cars and motorbikes in Connecticut, US.

Across the Atlantic, an unreal hidden treasure trove of 175 classic cars was discovered in a warehouse in London, UK.
There were several cars made by Mercedes, BMW, Land Rover, and it’s hoped that all the cars will eventually be restored and sold.

From researching the most ‘Google-able’ key terms to producing evergreen content - it’s been a time of hard work, growth, and success for the editorial team and the Supercar Blondie website. “I like to think of myself as a ‘method journalist’. In other words: I live and breathe whatever I am writing about. When writing about fitness, I trained as a personal trainer, and as a beauty editor, I completed an ‘expert’ in scent diploma with the Fragrance Foundation. “During my tenure at Supercar Blondie, however, I did something I never thought possible: I passed my driving test at the age of 36. One day I’d love to train as a mechanic to better understand what happens under the hood, too. “My sweet spot is providing readers with a ‘takeaway’ (read: something new they didn’t know before) after reading every one of my stories. While I don’t claim to be an expert in the automotive world, I know the experts and bodies in the field to rely on to provide our readers with an informative and thought-provoking story every time they visit the site.”
