The Bugatti Tourbillon has a secret compartment that reveals how you can unlock the hypercar’s top speed.
The Tourbillon’s standard top speed is 236mph, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
When the Speed key is accessed, it can go even faster.
So what exactly is the speed key and how does it work?

The Bugatti Tourbillon is a truly incredible car by any metric.
It makes a powerful sound, it has unique dihedral doors, and in theory, it can travel around the world’s equator in 90 hours.
But there’s one other massive perk – the car has a Speed Key which allows it to go even faster.

Normally, the Tourbillon can reach a top speed of 236mph (380kmh), which is certainly nothing to sneeze at.
But with the Speed Key, it can reach 277mph (445kmh).
That’s a huge difference.
The Veyron and Chiron already have this feature, so it’s only fitting that Tourbillon owners would get to join in on the fun.

But how do you access this Speed Key?
How to access the Bugatti Tourbillon top speed key
In the Veyron and the Chiron, the key was located between the driver’s seat and the door sill.

By way of comparison, the Tourbillon has it on the center console – which we can all agree is more convenient.
But it’s not immediately obvious to the naked eye.
You have to pop open the cover to access it.
Once opened, you’ll be greeted with a Bugatti badge and the slot needed to unlock the car’s ultimate speed.

With 1,800hp to play with and capable of reaching 62mph in 2 seconds, there’s a lot to love about this car.
And with this little hidden feature, you can top up on an already ferocious speed.
Is it any wonder that Alex Hirschi, aka Supercar Blondie, was so excited when one was delivered to her hotel?
